With wide angle lenses it's easy to create great vistas that aren't quite as you remember them. Often the problem is there is no foreground interest. Getting down lower and getting a closeup of a couple of those wildflowers with the same scene in the background would be a major improvement.
It looks like we will have several D800/D800e cameras on ANPAT. It will be a great opportunity to share experiences about dealing with the high resolution and the large files.
Here's my D800e offering from today. This was one of several small runoff paths below a large waterfall in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The light was wrong for a compelling picture of the waterfall, so I turned around and found this shot.
