The only book available right now is the Nikon D7000 Digital Field Guide by J. Dennis Thomas. It is sufficient to get you up and running and is an easy read. An excellent detailed one will be by Thom Hogan, but he has not started it yet (see his website). And it looks like Nikonians Press will be publishing one in the future.
