Guessing is fun, and as I posted elsewhere, I think it's possible that the D7000 IS the D300s replacement...that Nikon is morphing it's marketing strategy. The D7000 is WAY more than a "consumer" recreational machine (a la D3100/D5000), and as is, (with maybe more of a buffer @14bit) it could easily have been badged a D400.But, if a real D400 (or some such DX "pro" model) comes out, as I had been waiting for, it's going to be one heck of a camera!
