If you choose RAW + JPEG and set the camera to RAW Slot 1 JPEG Slot 2, then your .NEFs will be on the card in the top slot and .JPGs on the card in the bottom slot.

If you remove the card from slot 2, both will be recorded on the card in the top slot.
