Batteries were draining with the camera off. About 5% /day with the EN EL battery in the grip. So, I put the EN EL in the body, and put AA alkalines in the grip.

The charge still dropped in excess of 5% a day, even with the camera turned off. So, I removed the AA batteries, and now the sole battery dropped only 5% in three days. I guess that is acceptable.

Those of you with the Nikon MB-Dll, do you notice battery drain?
