That is interesting. It shows that even at a fairly slow speed (a brisk walk is close to 3 mph) that you still see significant motion blur even at 1/1000s.
I would bet that the quick movements of hands, feet and head of almost any athlete (or children playing) are often quite a bit faster than 3.5mph.
