"Thinking about upgrade from D90 to D7000" Mon 05-Nov-12 04:32 PM by dfaughtcvt
I've been reading this forum since I joined, and one of the topics that I've been watching is the back-focus issue with the D7000. Not really sure just how prevalent the issue is, or if it's a steep learning curve issue. I'm not a professional photographer but have been learning the in's and out's of the D90, and am using it in manual mode now. If I had to classify myself, I would say that I'm probably an intermediate hobbyist. So, after that long-winded intro of myself... I'm considering upgrading from my D90 to the D7000 (had also considered the 5100 but I prefer the camera having the AF motor). My D90 is getting long in the tooth but it still works really well. I have quite a few DX lenses so I feel it would be better to go with a DX camera body.
I would really like to hear input from D7000 owners and experienced photographers on this forum with their opinion on the D7000. Do you think I'll be biting off more than I can chew with the complexity of this camera versus the D90?
Thanks for any info you can give!
