I spent 20 minutes today trying to make this work, to no avail.

Lightroom 4.2, most recent version.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
D7000 firmware version. a-1.02 b-1.02 L-1.002

Windows 7 recognizes the camera. I can browse the SD card. Lightroom tether does not recognize the camera is connected. However, LR import can also browse the SD card in the camera.

I know the firmware for the D7k has been updated, but I'm not going there.
