#40. "RE: Nikon D7000 Focus Problem" In response to In response to 37

Hello again .... I received my 3rd new D7000 camera and have tested it with some focus test charts.......This camera is back focusing the same way as the other 2 previous cameras.......I found many other photographers in other forums who have the same exact back focus problems....I am not sure why Nikon is having such a difficult time adjusting these D7000 cameras especially since the majority of D90 , D300 , D300S , D700 cameras do not have this many back focus issues......I am using a -20 lens focus adjustment on the camera to help correct the back focus on my Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 AF-S lens.....This -20 adjustment brings the lens close to the focus point however it is still a little off......I probably need around a -27 to a -30 to get it perfect ....There is one advantage to this D7000 camera being out of alignment and that is I can now auto focus my Sigma 400mm lens which has a severe front focus problem and I was using manual focus only with the D90 , D300 and D700........There are many things I like about the D7000 and I am getting tired of sending cameras back and forth to the store so I have decided to keep this camera even though it is not perfect....I will use if for a while and see if any other problems develop and I can always send it to Nikon for repair .....I also found one dead pixel which shows up on the pictures and looks like a white colored cross...The dead pixel can only be seen when the photos are highly magnified.. I know many other cameras have this problem and I am not too concerned with this since I can clone it out.
