I was shooting a fall session with a few local family friends this weekend and when I got home to review my photos I realized that the focus on the individuals was off. I've had focusing issues with my new D7000 which I shoot 90% of the time with a 50-155mm tokina f2.8
I even shot with a tripod and sitting between f5.6 to f8 for the majority of the day I still had issues. I always lock onto the faces if at a distance and an eye if closer. I feel as though something is off in some menu somewhere. There is no shake and the shutter speeds are up enough. Really needing help with this focusing issue.
The long and short of it is this: I aim at their face and the hay bails are in focus yet they are not. I know how this sounds but I must be missing something.
