Re the U1 and U2 settings, apart from anything else it's great to be able to save these settings to a memory card so they can be reloaded should anything untoward occur.

I've had my D7000 since April and haven't experimented with what is possible, unlike others on here. I shoot almost exclusively in aperture mode, fixed ISO setting and have U1 set for JPG fine and U2 for RAW.
