You'd be right if I didn't live in australia.

I once shipped a camera to the US, for repair and it cheaper to cover the costs than get it done locally. That is part of the amazing world we live in.

So I've taken the philosophic approach and hold on to the cash, and drop it all on a piece of equipment that might be more reliable. And it will have that 'new' feel anyway.
