Well, I am going to return this grip after all. I have the nikon battery in the grip currently but I noticed something strange every now and then with the camera. Last night, I turned the camera on and found the camera using the battery in the body rather than the grip and the grip battery meter did not even show up. I had 2 -3 bars left in the grip battery since last use. I thought the battery grip drained the battery like other mentioned with a different 3rd party grip. I fiddled with it in the menu setup under battery info and nothing showed up under the MB-D11. I played around with the battery grip settings and then the grip battery showed up again with 2 bars. I think I am going to get the Nikon grip instead.
