"RE: D5000 won't turn on with Sigma macro lens" In response to In response to 18 Dublin, IE            hey guys, My email reply from Sigma USA said that the lens needs a firmware update, and I can send it to Sigma Ireland... My reply from Sigma Ireland said it must be a problem with the camera since the lens is working fine with the D3 and the D90. Sigma UK sent me an email asking me to phone them to discuss the problem further. I'll be doing that today so I'll let you know how I get on later.
