"D3200 for telephoto"

Shanghai, CN

Looking into another teleconverter, I realized it might be more viable to buy a D3200 than to buy a teleconverter. I know it's not technically the same, but I don't lose IQ when using a crop sensor compared to a teleconverter. Plus I get the added advantage of having a backup body, if not a light DSLR.

The one thing I worry about is performance... will I have a disadvantage in terms of focus and tracking? My need will be wildlife.

Thoughs on this? Or should I just get another teleconverter?
