Yes it was just the single middle AF point, it's the only one that is Cross-Type on the D5100 so it's the most accurate. I cropped a few of the shots afterwards for a better composition.

It was continuous release which felt a little strange at 4fps after my old D700 could do twice that! It seemed to keep up ok though but it did slow down quite quickly as the buffer choked.

The slowest shutter speed I set for auto-iso was 1/500 and I was shooting wide open which was f5.6 a lot of the time on that lens.

As I said I was really impressed with the camera, it did all the work itself really, I just had to try and keep the AF point on the dog's face! It's quite a small body but I've got girls hands so it suits me fine although I do miss the AF-On button, front dial and better build quality of the more expensive units.
