>congrats on your new D700. 3,000 clicks it's just a baby
The part that just dumbfounds me is when there are high actuations on the camera when it's still new. I've seen cameras on sale at various websites that have in the description, "just bought the camera 2 months ago. Only 50,000 clicks." What in the world are people doing in order to get that many shutter clicks in such a short amount of time? If you're a working pro I can see it, but for a regular person I absolutely don't. I've had my D700 for coming on 4 years now and I think I just hit 12,000. I use my camera a lot but I don't shoot photo opportunities with the spray and pray mentality. I always seem to get the photo I was looking for with about 5 frames at the most. I guess coming from film I learned to be frugal with my shooting.
