I just bought a used D700 with a MB-D10 grip. However, the MB-D10 won't work with the EN-EL3 battery? Whenever I put the battery into the MB-D10 I get a low battery symbol and the camera won't turn on. Swapping the batteries doesn't help. If I use AA batteries, the camera accepts them and does its thing.
Both batteries show fully charged and New "0" in the Battery Info. I removed the two screws, opened the EN-EL3 slide in tray and checked all of the contacts visually and with a Volt-Ohm meter. While in the tray both batteries registered about 8.2 vdc.
I don't have another MB-D10 grip with which to make sure it isn't the camera's contacts. Nor do I have an EL4 battery to test.
Any ideas or suggestions besides return the camera?
