Welcome here Kim Sims
Like for Everett, don't worry about not writing in French.
As you have read the thread, you have already all the spots needed to see, even too much, for 3 days. Yes it is too short, but much better than nothing !
To assist to a Gregorian concert at Notre Dame, well, that will be a great experience. Enjoy
About being based at Montmartre, for that kind of very short trip and for a first time, this is ideal, you'll be able to walk around and feel the City of Light ambiance. For a longer stay that's another story.
Even if it is very touristic, Montmartre keeps all it charms, you will not regret it. Try to find a nice hotel to go along. Beware this is not the "Bute Montmartre" for nothing as you will have to climb. But from there the site seeing of Paris is gorgeous.
I do hope that at the time of your trip you will a beautiful weather to enjoy it.
When you will go to the concert, perhaps take your tripod with you. Going after the show at night, I'm pretty sure you will want to take some night pictures (if of course you plan to do serious shooting during your stay, if not do not bother).
One advice, if you go for using your tripod be extra careful of your equipment, thieves can be pretty quick (bag AND tripod alike). So to spare the use of the tripod, I will not hesitate to push in the ISO with your D300.
