Thank you for pinning the topic here. Sorry to post here in English, but the bit of French I had in college only got me to a rather basic reading ability.
The three days my wife and I plan to spend in Paris in March is, I know, far too little. But we've already had a bit of luck on the timing -- a concert of Gregorian chant in Notre Dame on one of the evenings we'll be in Paris.
I do plan to keep my 'walk around' bag reasonably light. I'm bringing a tripod on this trip as I will later have about a month for some serious photography in northern Portugal and Galicia. But while in Paris the tripod will likely stay in the hotel.
Any recommendations for which arrondissement to stay in for such a short visit? From the guidebooks we've looked through Montmartre looks like a good base.
