Kinda topical seeing today marks three months since I paid a deposit on my D800.
I told her Nikon had released the new camera I have been waiting for and there was some explosive retorts. She knows that I have been squirrelling cash away into my camera fund which was about $1k short when the D800 was announced but I don't think I ever told her I paid a deposit.
Anyway, I got to the target, closed the camera fund and then kept squirrelling cash away with the intention of handing her $1k to spend on something she wanted. At the $300 mark, she announced she really would like to get back into sewing after 25 years and wanted to replace her 1970's sewing machine so opened the Sewing machine fund with a $300 deposit. I received an unexpected injection to the sewing fund last week so on Saturday off we went to buy her $999 Sewing Machine and I had to do a lot of talking to convince her then!
I think 3:1 (NAS:Sewing) sounds fair given I am the one still waiting patiently for my toy. Surely you'd have to agree with me?
