Thanks Anthony, nice to read about you and others!
I'm a web programmer/systems analyst, working in both the public and private sector, when I'm not doing photography! I'm married, with two daughters (22 and 20), and we're now getting used to being empty-nesters.
Photography occupies a lot of my non-working hours - either doing it, reading about it or thinking about it. I really love it, but suspect that if I had to do it for a living, I wouldn't like it as much.
- dabble in drawing and painting, when I get the time and urge. - love gardening, and plan to expand my already sizeable vegetable garden this summer.
Otherwise, my other greatest passion is reading; I read when I'm not working, sleeping or doing photography, LOL! I enjoy non-fiction (science, biography, history and philosophy) and 19th century literature, with the odd modern fiction thrown in. Currently I'm reading Steve Job's biography and have a "to be read" pile of books almost to the ceiling.
My wife and I like to hike, bicycle, kayak and cross-country ski.
We live in a semi-rural area, with two Standard Poodles and a rescued Australian Shepherd.
