I think it's probably going to be a long while for film manufacturing to totally end, however, I think it's going to become more and more expensive, as only niche manufacturing is done.
Once Vogue magazine allowed digital, we all learned film was on borrowed time as any kind of "mainstream" product.
I have one Nikon film camera left, and one medium format camera left. I haven't used them in a long time, but haven't been able to part with them yet. I've sold all my other film camera equipment. I still have my Omega enlarger, with color head, and Zeiss lenses too, but I haven't been in the chemical darkroom in years either.
My suspicion is I'm going to keep them as collector's items for sentimental reasons, but never use them again.
