Hi, I am a DSLR user and have a D80 and D90. I am getting older and suffer from arthritis. I recently sold my beloved D300 simply because it is getting too heavy to carry around my painful neck all day! There must be others like me. At the moment I can manage the DSLR's but can see the day when I may not be able to do so. I would love to see a mirror less camera with a DX sized sensor and interchangeable lenses. The Nikon 1 is not aimed at that niche in the market but maybe that does not exclude Nikon entering at a later date. There are others though getting close or very close to fitting the bill: Olympus, Sony and Fujifilm. I am not so worried about using my existing lenses because those designed for the smaller cameras are smaller and lighter and that is part of the objective. If I could use my Nikon fix focus lenses though that might be an advantage.
