I shoot lots of concerts. When doing local ones, I plan on asking permission and using my SU-800 to control my SB 200s and SB 700 around the stage.

I bought a couple Manfrotto 175 F1 clamps with a ball head and flash shoe.
When trailing at home, I noticed that the SB700s fit snugly, but don't actually lock in place even with the lock lever flipped.
I fear that when hanging from lighting or speaker rigs, the bass may case them to back out and fall.

The Calumet version has an Arca like screw/sliding plate that tightens onto the foot.

Anyone have any experience with either? $60 vs $40 each.

Your gonna miss 100% of the shots you never take, so keep shooting.
