Jim - big findings on another lake trip.Honestly - I would say get her a P7000,or similar.! ; FUZZY FROSTED WHITE,LACKING IN THE MORE PERCICE DETAIL.I should have kept the P7000,but - I have this,I wanted it,it has 'range'...with great compromise in quality.I shot about 100 shots(at the lake) with this P520...and about 50 shots with my Nikon Coolpix 8400 AND THAT'S WITH THE NIKON CONVERTER...;WOW -what a difference! The first 100 couldn't compare with the last 50;it was easy to see.and anything beyond say 90mm,(if lens is 24mm-1000mm)POOR AT BEST.Now Know - I'm critical here...but if you see the compairason...VERY oveious. Also know - I will 'fix-THE BEST P520 SHOTS'.OK - if my 8400 = 100% image quality,;the p520 is 50% at best. Can't say why a lot of shots were 'poor'.I was very excited to get this 'news' to you guys...I didn't convert the shots yet...I'll add to this post later if OK.Add #1 Thank goodness this pair of cameras is my secondary outfit.(My primary is ; Panasonic GH1w7-14,and my Canon SX 40 HS.
