I agree with Anthony, the P7100 and P7000 have a standard flash shoe and can accomodate "normal" Nikon Speedlights and they work perfectly in i-TTL.

I have tried an SB-23 and it will work well but only in manual mode - so you have to adjust aperture according to distance of subject in the usual (manual) way and the SB-23 has to be set to M.
