Lightroom is the best at organizing and very good at editing your pictures. I say that but I still use Capture NX2 to edit my pictures and Lightroom to inventory them. You are going to have a learning curve with ether software and you’re the one that will have to pick what you want to use.

If you’re a full time student I would go to the Adobe website and look at the price of Lightroom and see if you like what you see. I think Capture NX2 was about $130.00 at B&H Photo with shipping. If you want to try Elements go with it, but you are going to have to decide what software you want to use and what you want to pay. I think Adobe gives 80% off for students, but you can try there free trial first and see if you like it first. I hope this helps you out some.
