If you want to use the plug-in Color Efex Pro, CE4 for Elements 10 is superior to CE3 for NX2.

1. CE4 has more filter choices (eg. 1 B&W filter for CE3, 5 B&W filters for CE4)

2. You can edit the revised copy of a photo while the original is open side by side with Elements10+CE4, you cannot with NX4+CE3. You can only edit the revised copy by itself.

I have both combinations. I prefer NX2 for most processing, but also use Elements 10 for the above reasons.
