Being brand new almost to dSLR camera's it's been a long and expensive learning curve as most will know. I have a D7000 camera an a few AF lens to go with it.

Got the basics down with the photo portion of the body and venturing onward to using the video portion. Looking at the specs when I got the D7000 was a little overwhelming. Canon Vs. Nikon etc. etc. That I overlooked how many fps the 7000 did in Hi-Def.

So to get the 30 fps, I'll be buying a D5100 body to fill that void. I would like to ask for some experienced advice from members here on which manual focus Nikkor lens you would pick if you only wanted 1 video lens to start with. I'll be having to buy a Redrock shoulder rig alongside the 5100 body, Redrock, and a LCD viewfinder hood. So I'm limited to just one lens at the moment. So what would be a fairly decent one to start with?

To be used as an outdoor daylight landscape capture.

I already have a Canon 1080p camcorder, it's so compact it feels like it will leap from my hands at the first chance it gets, plus the VR isn't the greatest either. 20 or 29 minute bursts will be plenty for me. Opinions please.

Thank You!
