Is that knowledge that's just enough to be dangerous?
One bad slip of the wrench and you could forking over another 6-800 Bucks for a new Camera. If it was old like my D3000 not worth more than $50.00 on the open Market. But if you have just spent 6-800 dollars for a new Camera the last year or two. Don't risk it.
No, I wouldn't spend 6-800 on another 5100. I'm so pissed off with this camera, I'd break out the plastic and get either a 600 or 800. But I'd buy it at a place that has a liberal return policy like Best Buy. I'd buy it in a Saturday morning and test it all day Saturday, and if it exhibited any sign of focus problem it would be returned immediately, no later than Sunday morning.
