I went to a Lady Antebellum concert yesterday, my birthday is today, the Super Bowl is tomorrow and a Monday night announcement of a D800 would be awesome!!! I have been saving up for it and am ready to purchase. Just waiting on Nikon.

Heh, been there, done that (with the D4 announcement).

Maybe your wishes will come true. I was at my local camera store and the salesman told me they no longer have any D700's on their shelves and can't place an order from Nikon for more.

It looks like it will be a reality, but early reports have it at $3,999, which is more than I am willing to pay for it. I was willing to pay $2,999, but not $1,000 more.

A D400 announcement looks to be the next one for which I will be waiting.

Why wait. With the D800 you can take DX pictures of 15.4 megapixel images all day, and you can have the best of both worlds, except for the budget. I luckily preordered my D800.
