"Amazon Delayed D800-cover accessories? YES" Sun 29-Apr-12 02:21 PM by ChipEckardt

Well I received another email from Amazon and my D800 order has been pushed back for the second time.
I did receive my grip, extra charger, extra batteries almost a month ago.
My question is does anyone know if these items can be returned to Amazon if they prove to be defective once I can test them on the D800? Have not heard back from Amazon on this.

Got my answer already. Amazon allows you to return accessories up until 30 days AFTER you receive the camera body. --------------------- Hello,
I understand your concern.
If the grip, battery, charger you received do not work with the camera, you can return them with 30 days of receiving the camera.

I don't know the answer, but Amazon usually makes things right for their customers. Also, these items have Nikon warranty. If there is an issue, it will be very simple to send them Nikon and they will send you a replacement. Using the warranty for a new item is usually not the preferred way for things like a camera - who'd want a repaired camera for a price of a new one - but batteries and chargers etc would simply be replaced with a new one by Nikon if they don't work.

You would be out of luck. Amazon also called me and they made it clear the reason they would wait on the 30 day return was because I had ordered a body on same order.
