I have a GGS 3 screen cover. Absolutely love it. The only issue I have is that it keeps falling off! The slightest touch on it and it just unsnaps off...is this normal or just this one?

Interestingly, I used to buy the stick on GGS, but when I bought the D800 I hit the wrong GGS cover and got the clip on. I now prefer it, so an accidental click worked for me

I have the same problem Kam's got. Unless I have the L-bracket on the camera the slightest touch dumps the GGS cover. I'm going to switch to a Velo and see if that's better. If not I'll have to go to a stick-on.

Stick-ons are not good either but it all depends how you carry the camera. I managed to break 2 on my 7D and chipped another one. And broke one on D800. So I replaced all of them with GGS III version. And got it for my new 5D3 too. The problem I think is that I carry both cameras close to my knees. There is a gap between the hard glass and back LCD. Because of lack of flexibility they break.

Sick on or clip on, they all can break, except the plastic cover that Nikon makes for the camera. That just gets scratched up easily and gets difficult to see through quickly. Of course you could use nothing and possibly harm the LCD screen itself instead of a cover.
Name your poison...
Carrying your cameras close to you knees would seem to be a recipe for disaster. Can't say I've ever seen that.

I could have sworn that you said you are not going to post to my replies. But before you post something like that you need to get your facts straight. Version III is not as hard and brittle as version II. And the gap is larger than before. It may be even that scratch resistant plastic they put on sunglasses I don't know but I pushed on it as hard as I could and it did not break. Only time will tell. I think they created V. III for this reason alone so it does not break easy.

I got a Flashpoint cover for my D800 and it is NOT just like the GGS cover....it IS the GGS cover! I don't care... but it was a bit of a surprise that it was a GGS (box and all). I guess Adorama sells Flashpoint but Flashpoint is a GGS reseller/distributor. Nothing about the cover says Flashpoint. By the way, it fits nice and tight.
I do like the snap-on much better than the stick on covers. I have a Vello stick-on on my V1 and like it on that one because of the size factor. I bought another Vello stick-on for the D800 and didn't like it on that camera.
By the way..Vello makes both glass and acrylic for those who are afraid of the glass. I have the acrylic on my V1. Its cheaper and won't break (but will probably scratch).
