Hello all, I am having trouble getting the viewfinder virtual horizon function working. It is mentioned in D.Young book about assigning a button for it, so I looked in the English user manual and found info on page 231 and page 245 about setting the Fn button in custom setting f3. I have done this and pressed the Fn button but nothing happens. Am I missing out something out in the setup? The virtual horizon on the LCD display works fine. Ps In Darrel's book he refers to dots appearing left and right, am I right in thinking that these are the exposure indicators as given in the info on page 231 of the manual.

Yes, I pressed the okay button and it is showing correctly when you go back into It. But knowing that it is the focus indicators I can't see that it would be of much use. I think this is much easier and quickly achieved using the grid in the viewfinder. Thanks.

You won't see the same kind of image in the viewfinder as you see on the back LCD when you activate the virtual horizon. All you see in the viewfinder is a short little upright bar in the middle of the bottom edge of the viewfinder, and little dots light up one after the other to the left or right of the upright bar as you tilt the camera to the left or right. The idea is to have just the bar and no dots, then it's horizontal.
