If the camera is still in the Nikon lineup, it's still being manufactured. The D7000 is a popular camera for Nikon so they will continue to manufacture it for a while even after it's replacement is announced. Nikon would not arbitrarily stop producing the D7000 without a replacement.
The D7000 is just not sold at the Nikon Store probably because Nikon want's to sell it through it's retailers. There are plenty in stock everywhere.
No signal of impending doom, just a marketing decision.
