I have been using that lens with the D7000 for several months now and I am quite satisfied with the quality of the overall pictures (although the price tag is horrible...). However, I am wondering if the experience would be far better if I would use the lens on FX, like D800 ?
I know it would be roughly the equivalent of 16mm on DX , but apart from that, would there be other differences ?

Hi Claude,

The 24mm f/1.4 has the Equivalent Field of View of a 36mm lens when it is mounted on a DX body. It has the Field of View of a 24mm lens when mounted on an FX body. The 24mm f/1.4 is outstanding on both DX and FX bodies. Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!
