I've just bought a new D3000 body. When I attach my trusty Nikkor AF-S 18-135 lens the screen says no lens attached, yet all is fine with my Sigma 10-20 and my Tamron 70-300.
What's going on?

Hi Jim,

Welcome to Nikonians!!
Make sure the lens is fully seated and locked in the mount.
If you still have a problem. Clean the electrical contacts on the lens. Make sure that they all project out the same distance. They are spring loaded and can get jammed in. Try remounting the lens. Does it work now?
Good Luck and Enjoy your Nikons!

Best Regards,
Marty
