I actually found it on a C.... forum,i dont know if its because the C-people dont have anything else to do than to wait for the 5DII.

By the way, they seems more exited about the D700 than in here
Even though the D700 is 3 years late.

Wow they must be bored if they are talking about Nikon stuff. Funny thing was when I started to read it I though it was real until it said it took 8 EN-EL4a batteries.

Don't know why people here are mad about the D700. I can't wait to get one. Maybe it's because they just got the D300 and the D700 is coming out less then a year later.

Oh, man, that was funny. I especially like the part about compatibility with "high speed paper tape".

I may still have some paper tape laying around from back when I was in college (I know how that dates me).

Hi,

I think this, or something very similar, has been around for a while now. Still it's good for a chuckle.

Enjoy!

Hi,

I wish I had a a nickel for every time the paper tape broke on the PDP/11 I used as a student at University.

Enjoy!

What did I say, the D700 is a Canon invention - designed by new Nikon.

No real class then except in a 3rd party quality sort of way.

I hope am wrong but what are the chances.

Most people don't even know what a PDP11 is!

I worked on every model made from the 1103 thru the 1170 along with the entire VAX line, all network gear, disk, tapes, etc. Guess I'm showing my age!

I was a DEC employee 1981 thru 1991 then a systems manager thru 1995. Just hearing someone mention that old stuff makes me cringe!
