"Over-Exposed"

Recently had my D700 in the shop for a flash replacement and general tune-up/clean. Since then I notice that my photos all require -1 to -2 Exposure Compensation. Either at the time of shot or I end up doing it in Lightroom. Is this something I can fix myself? Is there a setting that I am overlooking?
It's quite annoying.
