"Exposure Comp Button"

Port Jervis, US

Any way to lock the Exposure Compensation button?
I often accidentally press it -- sometimes repeatedly apparently.
It's really exposed and asking for action that I don't want to give it.

What problem are you trying to solve?

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, pressing the Exposure Compensation Button alone should have no effect. By default, you have to press the button and turn the Command Dial at the same time to apply or remove compensation.

Of course! Thanks for reminding me.

You sent me back to the manual.
I had Easy Compensation ON.
Apparently I often turn the Command Dial thoughtlessly.

Easy Compensation now OFF.
Problem solved.

(And I'm one of those guys who's always mumbling, "Read the Manual, Idiot!")

Sorry to have tried your patience and thanks for the direction!

I bet more than one person besides you has now learned something from this thread. I haven't done this one, but I had done equally stupid things....like....leaving the bracketing on.
