Discuss away...

An undeniable paradox: To think that there is any such thing as an absolute rule is at worst naïve, and at best, shortsighted. There is no such thing as an always-true, all context- or situation-salient, absolute rule that always holds true…including this one!

Thanks for posting!

Thom mentions two of the lenses I'm waiting on to be updated, the 80-400 and the 300, so I'm happy!

Thom mentions two lenses that I've recently purchased, the 70-200 and the 300, so I'm unhappy.

Don't get too giddy, they're simply predictions and Mr. Thom himself says he's only right about half the time.

I like Thom, but this time he's actually made my head hurt! This is regarding his predictions regarding the D7000/D300s replacements! He says simply:

D7000 replacement comes first, D300s replacement next.
D300s replacement comes first, D7000 replacement next.
The next DX camera is a replacement for both the D7000 and D300s.

After that synopsis begins a lengthy discussion on the possible combinations. I lost the will to read any further at that point.

Yeah, and then he goes on to mention possibility #4...there is none.

And then he's saying this lower pricing coupled with poor service has the potential to hurt Nikon since they're now mostly a camera company...

Yeah, but only 50% right.
