Megaceryle m.maxima While shooting swallow on a branch overlooking a small stream, this guy, after making an impromptu arrival scaring the swallows away in the process, landed behind a branch, made for a nice headshot though.

Looks sharp and detail is great.

Really like this species, hope I can make it back to Africa soon.

Image would be stronger with more room in front (lead room) of the bird and less behind the birds head.

Also the out of focus branch is a little distracting unfortunately.
