Guys
wats your thoughts about the above 2 flashes
im after a budget iTTL flash as im just starting out into flash photography and am finding the on board flash very very annoying
im not going to be using it for anything other than portraits and the average indoor shots. but i would like full metering and compatibility with nikon cameras
price is a big factor for me
what would be your reccomendations and why?
i am using a D7000 with a sigma 18-200 OS
cheers

If money talks, go for the 565-EX.

It cannot serve as a wireless TTL master and does not support HSS.

My suggestion would be to learn how to use your flash manually. Much less hassle in the long run. For the price of an SB700 you can by a Sekonic L-358 flash meter from B&H, an amazing tool. I have been using 3 LumoPro 160 flashes for several years now. Two SB800's sit in my camera bag because I got tired of messing with the menus. The LumoPro is simplicity itself to use. Check out David Hobby at Strobist.com for help. Good luck! Richard
