"WORRIED ABOUT MY D50 / VIEWING IMAGES VIA TV CABLE"

AS I WAS READING IN THE D50 MANUAL LATLY , I DISCOVERED THAT THE CAMERA SHOULD BE TURNED OFF BEFORE CONNECTING THE CABLE TO A TV SET AND ALSO BEFORE DISCONNECTING IT , I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED BECAUSE I DID NOT FOLLOW THAT TERM DURING THE TEN TO FIFTEEN TIMES I DID PLAY BACK MY IMAGES ON SCREEN .... WILL THIS AFFECT THE WORKING MECHANISIM OF THE CAMERA...KINDLY ADVISE .... REGARDS

I think you should be okay. I would follow the manuals advice and from now on have it truned off. I am sure that its to prevent a static charge from harming the electronics while connecting. Others with a computer background may be able to add more. Jim
