Of the 2 images I downloaded (the cat and the shed in the snow), when loaded into NikonView 6, the shooting data shows the ISO of the cat image to be ISO 1000 and the shed in snow to be ISO 200 as also stated in the captions on the site.

So, looks pretty good to me. Anyone with a D100 fancy commenting on how they shape up noise wise ?

The D100 is pretty noisy at 1000 ISO. If they really look this good I'll give you my D100 and buy two D70s thank you very muc

All in all I have a very good feeling about the D70. Unless you need fast auto focus or a vertical release, this looks like one mean camera.
